2007 has been a monumental year for me, both professionally and personally. Some of my “news” in 2007 include:
With so many things going on, one needs to prioritize and something had to give - blog posts suffered in the last quarter. I established some really great relationships in 2007. Their thoughts and writings have certainly contributed to me and I trust I have been able to reciprocate. It is heartening to receive comments from bloggers and entrepreneurs from all over the world, but in particular from Atlantic Canada (PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador).
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this blog a success! I do not want to just name a few, so I hope to update the resource page in the near future.
So what’s in store for 2008? First let’s talk about CoSBI. I am going to up the standards for submissions. This is essential to provide readers of this blog with quality content. That will mean fewer articles, but with top notch content. I urge all future hosts of CoSBI to consider this!
The same goes for my posts too. I am going to broaden the topics a bit to include large business issues. I find that management in both large and small businesses face similar issues (the scope is just larger for big organizations) and we can learn from the experiences of both. This will mean lesser posting per week, but regular and with a strong business lesson as a take away.
I’ll also talk about the macroeconomic environment and the impact of events like the strong Canadian dollar, trade and exports.
2008 looks to be an exciting year and, I suspect, will definitely not be uneventful. I invite you to join me in this journey and share your experiences to make small businesses successful.
