If you are a small business, either you have outsourced your web design to a professional firm or your marketing team is looking after it. I hope you have a good design person on your team if it is the latter. However, I would advise small businesses to get, at least the initial design, done up by a professional firm. LifeBlue Media (LB) is one such full service web design firm.
Who are they
They have two offices; one in Dallas (HQ) and the other in St. Louis. However, they do not include the names and bios of the key management team. (Phillip Blackmon is the company head, I found out later) I wonder why companies do not do that. They seem to have recently changed their name from Teneo Design to LifeBlue Media (LB). They claim to have a worked with a range of clients: from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
Service offerings
Their services include graphic design, application development, search engine optimization, internet marketing and web hosting. They have recently added content management system and eCommerce Solution to their arsenal of services. Have a look at their portfolio page and decide.
A suggestion
Companies goto great lengths to design webpages, logos and make sure the front page is presentable. (By the way, I think the front page is dead. More on that later) But, they just do not go the extra mile to complete it properly. A case in point is the About page on their blog. They ought to either remove it or fix it - just do not leave the Wordpress default message in there please.
Overall, based on their portfolio, they seem to be competent. But you are advised to do your due diligence before you transact business.
