Trivia
Comments policy
Each blogger has his or her own comment standards. I have seen some blogs that allow any comment, while others are completely moderated. This blog was created for your benefit. Every reader has experiences to share that will benefit others. Knowledge grows by sharing. I just want to set expectations right at the outset:
- Your comments are important to us. They add value and knowledge to our community. Please feel free to comment on our articles. We want to hear what you have to say. Please be professional, courteous and mindful of others when you post comments.
- Links in comments: If you are commenting and want to include links that is fine by us. But they must be relevant to the topic.
All links have the “rel=nofollow” tag
- so just adding links will not help you. Bots will now follow external links. It does not make sense to penalize the whole blogging population for mistakes of few. However, I will now be policing comments even stringently. If you include irrelevant links, your entire comment will be deleted. Please build your blog reputation through genuine interaction.
- Spam: Our spam filters automatically delete spam comments. The filters are set and are good at catching spam. If anything does slip through, I delete them.
When I was in the process of setting up a blog and doing my research, I read somewhere: “In a sense you are visiting someone else’s home when you leave a comment”. (I did not bookmark the page and am unable to retrace.) Comments can build or harm your reputation as a reader. The language and tone of your comments tell us a lot about you. So please be gracious and make your comments add value - to our blog and your online profile.
